DEC Oxford's seminar series on wearable technology.

From November 2016 until May 2017 DEC Oxford ran a series of seminars focusing on wearable devices, imaging devices and digital health-related technologies.

The seminar series provided a platform for the health technology industry to present their ideas and products to a multidisciplinary group of researchers and clinicians.

Seminar 1. The potential for wearable technology in ambulatory care: Isansys Patient Engine. 25th November 2016. Keith Errey from Isansys demonstrated the Patient Engine, a device which uses wireless technology to monitor a patient's heartbeat, respiration, temperature, oxygen saturation, blood pressure and coma score in real time, either in hospital or at home.

Seminar 3. Asthma/COPD management in primary care: N-tidal personal respiratory monitor. 23rd March 2017. Jeremy Walsh from CRiL.

Seminar 4. New models of care for epilepsy. 27th April 2017. Rupert Page, Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Seminar 5. Snap40 wearable vital signs monitoring: a new tool for acute care in the community. 25th May 2017. Christopher McCann, Snap40.
